This is one of my favorite pasta salads. I love this so much. This pasta salad is so versatile that you can add whatever veggies you like. I would highly recommend this to try once. At least once a week, I have started eating salad for dinner. and keep trying different recipes and found this one super tasty so sharing it with you all. Hope you will like it too !! Peri Peri Makhana



 A healthy and easy recipe, toasted fox nuts(makhana)are perfect for tea-time snacks or to munch between your favorite movie.

Fox nuts are known for their superiority over dry fruits such as almonds and walnuts.it's packed with protein, carb, magnesium, potassium, and fiber to name a few.



Fox nuts are gluten-free and can be added to any recipe in any. form.be it dessert. snack or soup, fox nuts make an excellent. option. I am not sure about other parts of India but makhanas are widely used in northern India for special occasions or for certain sweets. It is loved in the form of a snack in our family. It is crunchy, tasty, and has a better nutritional profile than popcorn.

Ingredients

2 tbsp ghee

2 cups makhana(lotus seeds)

1/2 tbsp red chili powder

1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder

1/2 tbsp cumin powder

1/2 tbsp garlic powder

1/2 tbsp chaat masala

1/4 tbsp mango powder

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

salt as per taste


Instruction

1 - Add 1 tbsp ghee in a pan, let it melt, add makhana, and roast for 10-12 minutes over medium heat, test the makhanas by crushing between your fingers. transfer into a bowl.

2 - in the same pan add 1 tbsp ghee followed by all the powdered spices mix and turn off the gas.

3 - Add roasted makhana immediately and coat well until each makhana is coated with the spices.

4 - Peri-peri makhana is ready, store in an airtight container.
