COURSE: EVENING SNACK
KEYWORD: Roasted Masala Chickpea

Ingredients

2 cups overnight soaked chickpea
1 tbsp olive oil
Salt to taste
1 tbsp GARLIC powder
1 tbsp chili powder or chili flakes
1 tbsp mixed herbs (optional)
1/2 tbsp mango powder

Instructions

1 - Boil the chickpeas for only one whistle. You need to keep it like if you try to press it using your finger, it shouldn't break easily.

2 - Drain out all the water and spread on a muslin cloth to let it fry out all the water from it.

3 - Transfer into a mixing bowl and add oil along with all the spices. And mix well gently.

4 - Transfer into a baking tray and keep it in a preheated oven for 30 minutes at 190°.

5 - Remover from the oven and let it cool down a little.

Tips

1 - Alternatively, you can roast it on a vessel or pan for 20-25 minutes if you don't have an oven. but do not add all the powder spices before roasting..add once roasted.

2 - You can store this in an airtight container and consume within a week.
