Baati is an authentic Rajasthani special dish. Everyone must have tried sattu baati, I would encourage you all to try this spicy matar masala baati in this winter season .this can be easily prepared at home, what you need is fresh green peas rest other ingredients are always available in your kitchen. So let's begin the recipe without wasting time.

Ingredients
1 cup green peas
2 cups wheat flour
1-inch ginger
2 tbsp finely chopped coriander
4-5 cloves garlic
1/2 tbsp carrom seeds(ajwain)
1/2 tbsp cumin seeds(jeera)
2 tbsp ghee
salt to taste
2 green chilies
1/2 tbsp baking powder
Instruction
1 - Add green peas, ginger garlic, coriander leaves, green chili into a blender and blend slightly coarsly
2 - Add this paste into a mixing bowl followed by wheat flour, cumin seeds, carrom seeds, salt, ghee, and baking powder.mix everything well.
3 - Using lukewarm water, knead little hard dough, and keep it covered to rest for 15 minutes.
4 - Next make small disc out of the dough . and apply ghee on top.
5 - Place it into a baking tray and bake for 45 minutes at 180 degrees in the preheated oven.do turn it over on intervals.
6 - Take out the oven and dip it into melted ghee.
7 - Serve hot with chokha or chutney.
Tips
1 - You can use frozen peas if you don't have a fresh one.
2 - Add more chilies if you like eating spicy, it also enhances the taste
3 - dough shouldn't be very soft not very hard
4 - Baatis can be baked in the pressure cooker also. Add 3 cups of fine sand/salt to a cooker and heat for about 10 minutes. Place the Baati balls plate on the sand and close the cooker without gasket and DO NOT put weight. Bake for around 15 minutes on medium heat. Flip them and bake for around 10 minutes.
