This is one of my favorite pasta salads. I love this so much. This pasta salad is so versatile that you can add whatever veggies you like. I would highly recommend this to try once. At least once a week, I have started eating salad for dinner. and keep trying different recipes and found this one super tasty so sharing it with you all. Hope you will like it too !! Tamaatar chaat

Ingredients

4 large chopped tomatoes
1 tbsp cumin seed
1 teaspoon asafoetida(heeng)
2 boiled mashed potatoes
4 green chili (chopped)
1 tbsp coriander powder
1/2 tbsp garam masala
1/4 tbsp turmeric powder
1/2 tbsp roasted cumin powder
1 1/2 chaat masala
1 tbsp black salt
white salt as per taste
4 tbsp ghee
sweet tamarind chutney

for garnishing
coriander leaves
tamarind chutney


Instruction
1-in a pan add ghee, cumin seed,heeng. once cumin starts sizzling, add tomatoes, stir and cover it for 3-4 minutes.
2-open the lid and check if tomatoes turn soft and mushy.
3-using spatula, mash the tomatoes completely and let it simmer for 2 minutes.
4-add coriander powder, chili, powder, turmeric powder, roasted cumin powder, black salt, white salt and mix well
5-after adding all the masala cook it for 2-3 minutes and then add 1/2 cup water and let it simmer for 2 minutes
6-next add mashed potatoes and mix well, if you feel it's very dry, you can add little more water. and cook for 2-3 minutes. combine everything well.
7-add tamarind chutney,garam masala, and chaat masala .saute for a minute and cover it for another 1 minute
8-turn off the flame and transfer it into a serving plate
9-garnish with some coriander leaves, crushed papdi(if available), and tamarind chutney on top.and sprinkle some roasted cumin powder.
10-serve hot
