Nowadays, oats have become a major whole grain in my healthy diet and yet I was missing that old Maggi flavor. So I decided to create Masala Oatmeal that has almost the same flavor as Maggi and instead of unhealthy white noodles I incorporated whole grain oats.
This is one of my healthy and quick breakfast recipe.

Ingredients
1 cup oats (soak for 10 minutes before preparing)
1 small onion
1 small tomato
1/2 cup finely chopped capsicum (optional)
1/2 cup finely chopped carrot (optional)
1 minced green chili
1/2 spoon cumin seed
1 pinch asafetida
Salt to taste
1 pinch turmeric powder
1 pack Maggi masala-a-magic
2 tbsp oil
1 cup green peas
Recipe
1- Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds, green chili, asafetida. let it splutter for few seconds then add onion and cook for 2-3 minutes.
2 - Add carrot, capsicum, cook for 1 minute then add tomato and saute for 2 minutes.
3 - Add turmeric powder, salt, Maggi masala-a-magic, stir it and add soaked oats and mix well
4 - Add 2 cups of water along with green peas.
5 - Cover the pan and let it cook for 5-7 minutes. keep stirring in between to check if it's not sticking from bottom and water is enough if feels less then add more water.
6 - Check if it's cooked well turn off the flame and plate it out.
7 - Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
Note...
1- in place of Maggi masala-a-magic,you can use pavbhaji masala or sabji masala or kitchen king.
