Kothey Momo With Sesame Chutney

Are you not preparing momo only because you don't have a steamer? so here is good news about preparing momo without a steamer.
now stop giving excuses cause I have got no steam momo recipe.
Kothey momo is half fried and half steamed in the same pan which is made in an elongated shape. The filling can be either veg or various kinds of meat; chicken, buff and pork are mostly available. I have made veg momo, you can replace the filling with nonveg as well if you wish.

Ingredients

For momo

6 cloves finely chopped garlic
2-3 finely chopped chili
2 tbsp oil
3 cups grated cabbage
1 teaspoon black pepper powder
2 medium-sized  finely chopped or grated onion
2 cups plain flour(maida)
2 teaspoon chili powder(optional)
salt to taste

For chutney

2 cloves garlic
2-3 whole red chili
1/2 inch ginger
1 roughly chopped tomato
1 spoon white sesame(safed til)
salt to taste

Instruction
First, prepare momo dough-add plain flour in mixing bowl and add little salt and using warm water knead soft dough. cover it and set aside.gradually add water and you can also use fork or spoon to mix flour and water initially before getting your hands into it(as water will be hot so you might burn your hands)
prepare stuffing-
1-add oil in a pan and then add garlic and chili, stir for few seconds then add cabbage and onion.
2-stir it and cook for 3-4 minutes or until the water of cabbage becomes little dry,
3-next add salt and pepper powder, chili powder(add only if you like more spicy).cook for another 2 minutes and then turn off the flame and let it cool, till then prepare chutney.
Prepare chutney-in a frying pan dry roast sesame seeds until the little brown color, transfer into a plate, and add chopped tomato, garlic, ginger, whole red chili,1 tbsp oil. saute everything well for 2-3 minutes or until tomatoes become soft.
2-add this into the grinder along with sesame seeds, salt, and grind it into a fine paste also add little water as per your preference to adjust the thickness.

let's go back to momo-open the dough and divide it into a small-sized ball.
-->using a rolling pin roll it and stuff the momo stuffing and cover it to momo shape.fill all the momo this way
-->add 1 tbsp oil in a frying pan and place stuffed momo in a pan and cover it.cook for 3 minutes on low flame or till you see brown spots on it , turn it over and cook top side also.after cooking it both the side add 1 tbsp water and quickly cover it (this step will ensure to cook momo in steam).
-->momo is all cooked now so plate it and serve with sesame chutney.
